How to clean UE DROPS

Before we get started, please be aware that UE Drops meet the rating of IP57 for the earbuds and IP54 for the charging cradle. However, as your UE Drops utilize a unique ear module and ear shell structure, water can potentially become trapped in the sound channel of the earshell and thus possibly cause short term audio degradation, so we encourage users to not submerge them or subject them to heavy streams of water. If this does occur, audio will resume normally after the trapped moisture subsides.

Cleaning Contact Points:

1. We'll start the cleaning process by ensuring that your buds are turned off, and your charging case is not plugged into a power source.
2. Now, remove each individual bud from the charging case.
3. Thoroughly wipe each piece down with a dry cloth or q-tip to remove any larger debris.
4. Now use either isopropyl alcohol, a disinfectant wipe, or some warm water with a mild soap and give each component of your buds a gentle wipe down. We recommend utilizing a toothbrush, and/or q-tip, and to pay especially close attention to the contact points used for charging your buds.
5. Once you are done with the cleaning, wipe them down with a dry cloth. Now, leave your buds to dry.
6. Wipe down your charging device with a damp disinfectant wipe or moist towelette/q-tip. Here we are hoping to remove any films and order small debris that may be creating a barrier between the charging contact points on your buds. Now, leave your charging component to dry.
7. Only once all of your components are free of moisture, go ahead and fully charge your buds.

Removing Wax/Debris from Ear Canal:

• Carefully use a wax cleaning tool to remove debris. If you do not have your cleaning tool, a dry toothbrush will work as well.
• When cleaning the canal, hold the earbud with the opening at the bottom so that wax particles fall out and away (downward from the earbud) instead of into the device.
