The SIMPLINK feature on your LG TV allows the TV to automatically switch inputs when it detects that a device (which supports HDMI-CEC communication) is powered on. This causes an issue when using the Harmony remote, as the Harmony remote also attempts to switch the input on the TV, resulting in the TV going to the wrong input. To resolve the issue, you will need disable Simplink on your LG TV. To disable SIMPLINK, follow the steps below:
- On your LG remote, press the Menu button
- Use the direction up/down buttons to select Option menu
- Use the direction up/down button to select SIMPLINK
- Use the direction up/down button to select Off
- Press Menu button to exit
Once you have disabled SIMPLINK, try using your Harmony remote.
