Resolving connection issues with devices when using Logitech HD Powerline 200 Network Adapters

Logitech HD Powerline 200 Network Adapters use the existing electrical wiring in your house to extend Ethernet connectivity. When the blue lights on the powerline adapters are solid or are flashing, this means that HomePlug connectivity has been established.

If the blue lights on the powerline adapters are flashing to indicate activity, but your device won’t connect to the internet:

• Make sure the network cables are securely connected between the powerline adapters, the router, and the device you’re trying to connect to the network.
• Try rebooting your powerline adapters by unplugging them, waiting for 30 seconds, and then plugging them back in.
• Remove all surge protectors and power backup units. These extra devices can cause line noise, which may interfere with powerline adapters.
• Try turning off or removing any other devices that are plugged in to the same outlet and which may be causing interference (for example: microwaves, telephones, vacuums).
• Try moving the powerline adapters to different electrical outlets.
• Remove any other HomePlug hardware on the network that may have already assigned passwords (for example: WiLife cameras, another powerline bridge, HomePlug, lighting control devices). If this works, you may need to remove the password from your existing HomePlug hardware.
• Try rebooting the router (or other networking devices) on the network. Sometimes router services stop working properly and can cause this issue (for example: DHCP Server not running, DNS failure).

Basic steps to power cycle a network:

1. Unplug both powerline adapters.
2. Remove the power supply from the networking device.
3. Remove the power from the router (or other networking devices) and wait 30 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power to your router and wait 30 seconds. If you have other networking devices, plug them in afterward.
5. Power on the powerline adapter connected to your router (or networking device) and wait 30 seconds.
6. Power on the powerline adapter connected to the device you're trying to connect to the internet (for example: Revue, game console).
7. Reconnect the power to the device you're trying to connect to the internet and test.

If the above power-cycle process does not work, there may be compatibility issues with the wiring in the house.
