If you choose to install the Logitech Desktop Messenger as part of the Logitech Harmony Remote Software installation on Windows 7 you will receive the following message,
The reason for the message is that the Logitech Desktop Messenger is currently not compatible with Windows 7. If you receive the compatibility message shown above, click on the Cancel button to proceed with the installation of the Logitech Harmony Remote Control Software. You will then be able to run and use the Logitech Harmony Remote software to access your Harmony account and update your Harmony remote.
After the installation is complete, if you wish to uninstall the Logitech Desktop Messenger, you can do so by following these steps:
- Click on Start and then click on Control Panel
- Click on Uninstall a Program
- Click on Logitech Desktop Messenger and then click on Uninstall/Change and follow the instructions to remove the program
