Teaching commands using my original remote

If you are experiencing difficulty using a device’s original remote to teach IR commands, try the following troubleshooting steps:

• Ensure the original remote is being pointed at the front of your Revue. The distance between the original remote and your Google TV device should be 5 to 10 feet.
• Ensure there is clear line of sight between the original remote and your Google TV device.
• Ensure the original remote has fresh batteries. If the batteries are low, the signal coming from your original remote may be too weak for the Google TV device to detect.
• Minimize the amount of light that could interfere with the learning process. Block out sunlight, or turn off any bright lights.
• Try holding down the button on the original remote for at least 1-2 seconds, otherwise the signal may be too short to process.
• Ensure the device's original remote sends infrared (IR) commands and not RF signal. Your Google TV device can only learn IR signals. To verify this, cover the front of the remote with your hand. If you can still control your device, then the remote is RF.
• Try pointing the original remote from varying distances and angles.
