Using plugins for Squeezebox Radio software

Plugins are add-ons that you can download for Squeezebox Radio software (Squeezebox Server). To add or remove plugins, please do the following:

Select your operating system:

• Windows XP / Vista
• Macintosh

Windows XP / Vista:

• Add / Remove plugins
• Manually restart Squeezebox Server

Add / Remove plugins:

NOTE: Although the screenshots below are XP screenshots, the text is identical for Vista.

1. Open the Squeezebox Server Control Panel:

   

2. Go to the Advanced tab:

   

3. Click the Advanced Settings Button:

   

4. Go to the Plugins Tab:

   

5. Check/uncheck the plugins you want to install or uninstall:

   

6. Click the Apply Button:

   

7. You will see a message asking you to restart Squeezebox Server:

   

8. If you choose to restart Squeezebox Server now, you will see the following message. Click OK:

   

If you choose to restart Squeezebox Server later, follow the steps in the Manually Start Squeezebox Server section below.

Manually restart Squeezebox Server:

1. Right-click the Squeezebox icon in your system tray and click Stop Squeezebox Server as shown below:

   

2. Wait for Squeezebox Server to stop running.

3. Right-click on the Squeezebox Server icon in your system tray and click Start Squeezebox Server as shown below:

Macintosh:

1. Go to System Preferences > Squeezebox Server:

   

2. Go to the Advanced Tab:

   

3. Click Advanced Settings:

   

4. Go to the Plugins tab:

   

5. Check/uncheck the plugins you want to install or uninstall:

   

6. Click Apply:

   

7. You will see a message asking you to restart Squeezebox Server:

   

8. If you choose to restart Squeezebox Server now, you will see the following message. Click OK:

   

If you choose to restart Squeezebox Server later, follow the steps in the Manually Start Squeezebox Server section below.

Manually restart Squeezebox Server:

1. Go to System Preferences > Squeezebox Server:

   

2. Click Stop Server:

   

3. When the button changes to Start Server, click it again to restart Squeezebox Server:
