- Make sure that Bluetooth is on or enabled on your device.
- Make sure your Logitech product is on and discoverable. Some Logitech products have multiple connection settings — make sure that it is set to Bluetooth and not any other connection setting (ex. Unifying).
- Make sure that your device and Logitech product are within proximity of each other. Bluetooth limitations can range from 3 - 33 or more feet.
- Bluetooth devices, like all wireless devices, are susceptible to wireless interference. Try moving away from other sources of wireless signal or from overly saturated wireless areas. For instance, if you’re using your Logitech device next to a microwave, or older cordless phone, try moving away from them to see if it improves your device’s connectivity.
- BTLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) devices in particular, are more sensitive to Wi-Fi interference, especially if the Wi-Fi router’s signal strength is very powerful. It can disrupt the Bluetooth signal to the point that it becomes impossible to pair the Bluetooth device with the computer. Refer to the documentation for your Wi-Fi router for information on changing the channel that it operates on. When there is interference, the ‘safer’ channels are 1, 6 and 11. If your Wi-Fi router supports it, try switching the Wi-Fi signal from 2.4GHz to 5.0GHz. Since the Bluetooth connection works only on 2.4GHz, switching to 5.0GHz will completely stop the interference.
- Some materials can also degrade the strength of a Bluetooth signal. Metal surfaces, chicken wire inside walls, or even using your Logitech Bluetooth product on water can degrade the wireless signal between it and your device.
- Check the battery of your Logitech Bluetooth product. Battery power can adversely affect connectivity and overall functionality.
- Your Logitech Bluetooth product may require support for different Bluetooth profiles to work with your device. For example, some Logitech Bluetooth audio products may require your device to support A2DP (streaming media profile). If your device doesn’t support this profile, the Logitech Bluetooth product will not work. Other Bluetooth profiles and features you may need to check, but aren’t limited to are:
- A2DP
- HFP
- HSP
- Bluetooth Smart/Bluetooth
- Low Energy
- HID
- AVRCP
