Resolve ZeroTouch permissions issues for messaging apps

If you are continually prompted to accept permissions for messaging apps, or if your ZeroTouch settings show messaging apps such as WhatsApp in red, then your phone is probably having an issue with its internal services. To fix this, make sure you have updated ZeroTouch to the latest version on the Google Play Store.

If you are a Huawei, Xiaomi, or OnePlus phone user, and you have this issue after updating your ZeroTouch app, clear your phone’s recent app management to work around the problem:

1. Open your phone Settings.
2. Go to Advanced.
3. Go to Recent app management. 
4. Normal clear.

This should reset your phone so as not to disturb ZeroTouch when it is running in the background.

In addition, if you own a OnePlus phone, you can also lock the ZeroTouch app to prevent it from being removed from your phone’s list of recent apps, which will in turn retain your permissions for messaging. 

1. Launch the ZeroTouch app.
2. Look for the lock icon in the upper right corner of the app’s user interface.
3. If the lock icon is present, tap on the icon to lock ZeroTouch. This will prevent it from being removed from your phone’s list of recent apps, which will in turn retain your permissions for messaging.

NOTE: While this particular app lock feature is available on other manufacturers’ handsets, this particular workaround will only work on OnePlus phones.
