To resolve this issue, do the following:

Do a clean uninstall of your existing version of QuickCam software. For instructions on doing a clean uninstall, please see Knowledge Base article 360023378013.

Download the latest version of the QuickCam software from the Logitech Downloads Page. For instructions on downloading and installing QuickCam software, please see Knowledge Base article 360023378013.
- Install the new version of QuickCam software.
After installing the latest version of the QuickCam software, you should no longer experience any video effects errors when using Video Effects with your QuickCam Communicate STX.
