The following table defines the meanings of the various LEDs on the Cordless Rumblepad 2:
| Receiver | |
| Blinking quickly | Receiver is seeking any available controller. Press the button on the receiver to force receiver into this mode. |
| Blinking slowly | Receiver is connected to inactive controller |
| Off | Recevier is connected to active controller. LED will glow when either a button is pressed or the joystick is moved while in this mode. |
| Gamepad | |
| Blinking quickly | Gamepad is seeking receiver. Gamepad will go into sleep mode in twelve seconds if receiver is not found. Press any button to restart seek process. |
| LED stays on for 2 seconds (upon connection) | Gamepad is in flight mode |
| LED stays off for two seconds (upon connection) | Gamepad is in sport mode |
| Blionking slowly | Batteries are low |
