Cause
At some point in the past, Windows Media Player failed in it's attempt to connect to the remote media server. This failed event became cached and is referenced on all subsequent attempts to connect.
Resolution
Clear the internet browser temporary internet files (browser cache) from the internet browser.
To do this in Windows Internet Explorer 7.0:
Click Tools then Internet Options. Under Browsing History click Delete, then Delete Files.
