Resetting WiLife Camera hardware and password is done to reset the camera’s password and settings to the factory default values. This is accomplished by inserting a paper clip into the reset hole located on the bottom or back of the camera. Resetting the hardware will also reset the camera properties (brightness, contrast, etc.) to default levels.
NOTE: Before beginning, make sure that the indoor camera is plugged into the power supply unit via the Ethernet cable and that the power supply unit is plugged into the power outlet. For Outdoor and Spy cameras, ensure that they are plugged into an electrical outlet.
- Insert the end of a paper clip into the reset hole on the bottom or back of the camera and press gently and then release.
- Check the status of the camera LEDs. After you release following a short delay, they should behave as though the camera has just been powered-up.
- Since the camera password has been reset, it will need to be added as a new camera. To do this, click the Setup button in the WiLife Software.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Click the Add New or Find My Camera button. The WiLife application wizard will guide you through the search and add the camera automatically (this may take 1-2 minutes).
