Tutorial: How do I clean the battery contacts in my Logitech game controller?

In some cases, dirt on the battery contacts in a cordless Logitech game controller can cause the batteries to make poor contact, which may result in the device not functioning properly. It may even appear that the batteries are dead when they are not.

To clean the contacts, try rubbing them with a cotton swab dampened with alcohol. If the buildup is heavy, you can lightly rub them with a rubber pencil eraser. Use care with how much pressure you apply as excessive pressure may damage the contacts.
